Visit Japan Web is an online platform that allows travelers to complete immigration and customs procedures before arrival.

Using this service can expedite your entry process. A little time consuming but worth the effort to save time. You can also use services, that have simplified the process.

How to use Visit Japan Web:

Register an account at Visit Japan Site

Input your travel and personal details.

Complete the immigration (disembarkation card) and customs declaration forms.

Upon completion, you'll receive QR codes to present at immigration and customs checkpoints.

It's advisable to complete this process at least a few days before departure.​

Visa Requirements

Citizens from over 70 countries, including the EU, USA, UK, Canada, and Australia, can enter Japan visa-free for short stays (15–90 days).

Nationals from countries not eligible for visa-free entry must obtain a visa prior to arrival.

Visa applications are processed through Japanese embassies or consulates.

Be prepared to show proof of accommodation, return ticket, and sufficient funds.​

Return or Onward Travel Ticket

Japanese immigration may request proof of onward or return travel.​
